Clallam County Contact Routes

This private website cannot confirm custody, release a record, obtain a booking photograph, or decide a court question. Use the responsible public office below for official Clallam County records and current status.

Not a government office. Messages sent to this site do not reach the Sheriff, jail, court, police department, or Washington DOC. For an urgent safety issue, contact emergency services or local law enforcement.

County Jail and Sheriff

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office lists its office at 223 E. 4th Street, Suite 12, Port Angeles, WA 98362. The main line is 360-417-2262, and non-emergency dispatch is 360-417-2459, available around the clock. Posted office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For jail matters, the Clallam County Corrections Facility lists Jail Records at 223 E. 4th Street, Suite 12, Port Angeles, WA 98362, telephone 360-417-2360. The jail business number is 360-417-2458.

Records Requests

For an identified county or Sheriff record, begin with the Clallam County Public Records Center. The county also lists 360-417-2432 on its public-records request page, while the Sheriff’s records page lists 360-504-1262. Because those routes list different numbers, the online portal and an exact record description are the clearest starting point.

Include the person’s name, date, location, and case, subject, or booking number when known. The Public Records Officer mailing address is 223 E. 4th Street, Suite 13, Port Angeles, WA 98362. A request for a particular booking photograph should state that it is sought only if releasable; records may be redacted or withheld under applicable law.

Custody and Case Checks

Use the Clallam County Inmate Inquiry for a county-custody or booking-history question. For a court outcome, use Washington Courts Odyssey and the court of record. A person in state DOC custody is outside the county jail system and should be checked through the WA DOC incarcerated search.

Forks municipal custody has a separate Forks Jail Inmate Roster. Port Angeles and Sequim police records requests must go to their respective city processes. These systems have different custody scopes, so a no-result in one does not answer all others.
